The El Dorado County Mineral and Gem Society was established in
1949 to encourage interest in the earth sciences and lapidary arts and
hopes that this program will aid in continuing these interests in
future generations. Funds for
the Scholarship Program are obtained from designated proceeds that the
club receives from its annual October Rock and Gem Show and other
activities. The Society is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization.
