Membership in the El Dorado County Mineral and Gem Society is open to people of all ages, and family participation is welcomed.

Junior memberships are also available. (See more information about our Junior Program on the Education page)

Members receive a free copy of the club's monthly Newsletter, "Petroglyphs." The Newsletter covers club activities and other events, articles about mineral, gems, mining, collecting, lapidary, and jewelry making. Articles are contributed by club members and obtained by the editor from related sites and publications.

Annual dues are nominal and are listed in full on our applications. Three levels of dues are available: Household, Individual and Junior (17 yrs & under)

Applicants must attend at least one general meeting at which time they can apply for membership. The Board of Directors review and approve applications at the following board meeting.
