The El Dorado County Mineral and Gem
Society sponsors
an annual Rock & Gem Show. Our show features non-competitive
displays of minerals, gems, lapidary, and jewelry work provided by the club
members and guest exhibitors. Our educational display this year will be
about Petrified Wood. Also featured is a hosted display showing magnified crystals
and other presentations.. We invite commercial dealers
to the show to display and sell such items as rough and faceted gems, minerals, fossils, petrified wood, lapidary material, finished jewelry and jewelry finds, equipment, and books.
The 2010 Rock & Gem Show will be held on October 16 & 17.
The show will be located in the Forni Building (Main Hall) and Organ Room of the El Dorado
County Fairgrounds, 100 Placerville Drive, Placerville,
California. Hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. See

Along with Dealers, Displays and Demo's, the show will include free activities for kids, geode sales and cutting, grab bags,
bargain rocks, silent auction and great food right on the premises.
Funds obtained from sale of raffle tickets go toward our annual Scholarship and other Educational Programs.
