 The El Dorado County Mineral and Gem
Society sponsors
an annual Rock & Gem Show. Our show features non-competitive
displays of minerals, gems, lapidary, and jewelry work provided by the club
members and guest exhibitors.
We invite commercial dealers
to the show to display and sell such items as rough and faceted gems, minerals, fossils, petrified wood, lapidary material, finished jewelry,
beads, findings, equipment and books.
Along with Dealers, Displays, Demo's
and Presentations, the show includes free activities for kids, geode sales and cutting, grab bags,
bargain rocks, silent auction and great food right on the premises.
The 2011 Rock & Gem Show will be held on October 15 & 16.
The show will be located in the Forni Building (Main Hall) and Organ Room of the El Dorado
County Fairgrounds, 100 Placerville Drive, Placerville,
California. Hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily. See

Our educational display and
presentations this year will be
about Amber - the window into the past.
Funds obtained from sale of raffle tickets go toward our annual Scholarship and other Educational Programs.
Dealer inquiries
are invited. (Dealer positions are filled for this year, however,
we would be happy to consider you for next year.)
